Wishes, Desires & Gratitude
Take a break from all your thoughts and think for a while, 'Today you are living atleast one of your dreams from past'.
Today everyone has a list of wishes and desires- from a child wishing for the toys his friends own to a businessman who wants to earn more, students want higher and higher grades, someone wants a job, a big home, ideal physique, more sources of entertainment, branded outfits, lavish cars, fame and the list is endless. Although,it is true that when a goal or wish is fulfilled one celebrates, but again one continues to wish for or seek other aspirations to be fulfilled. The race of having more nevers seems to end; The though 'I wish I were' prevails in human mind endlessly; the human mind craves for more and more; and this has vanished the feeling of gratefulness and contentment which is indeed the most important to be happy. At the same time, I don't mean to stop dreams or to stop working towards goals or stop upgrading life style and just continue to live with whatever you have; rather, what message I wish to convey is that one should be grateful for what one have. Yea, one should work towards achieving goals but one must celebrate the achievement if fulfilled and if not, then instead of mourning, just feel thankful for what one already possesses and look ahead with courage; be acknowledged about what you have, be thankful for it and get back to work again. If one will continue to concentrate on what they doesn't has then they will never have enough, but if one is thankful for what they have, then they will endup having more.
In a nutshell, continue to work for what you want but remember:
"Hope For Best,
Be ready for Worst,
And be Grateful for what you have"
